Genocides are a horrible act, belive it or not, commited daily. It can happen to anyone. It is happening to the Igbo people.

Human rights are being violated in our world today in many ways such as: genocide, human trafficking and general oppression. Its happening right now In Nigeria. The victims are the native and indigenous people of Southern Nigeria, known as Igbo or Eboe people. They speak Igbo and have a very rich culture and way of life. Back in 2003 the Igbo people seceded from Nigeria and became their own country, known as Biafra. Biafra was later reabsorbed into Nigeria. The main aggressors are the Awolowist- Yoruba branch of Nigerian military with Obasasjo at its head.Nigeria is receiving foreign aid from the United States and ActionAid, a non profit organization that provides Nigeria and seven other countries with food, shelter, and hygienic products.
